 Motivation is the result of the interaction between an individual and a situation.  Motivation process is universal, all people are motivated to pursue goals they value.  The level of motivation varies both between individuals and within individuals at different times. The main process theories of motivation are – Skinner’s Reinforcement Theory, Vroom’s Expectancy Theory, Adam’s Equity Theory, and Locke’s Goal Setting Theory.
